In October 2013, Heath Ledet released Chasing My Dreams, a 10-song album made with Pershing Wells and a group of collaborating musicians. The record is one marker in the musical life of Heath Ledet, a blues and Americana musician, singer, and songwriter originally from South Louisiana.
The album’s 10 tracks are “Chasing My Dreams,” “Wrapped Around Your Finger,” “Too Good for Me,” “Dirty Money,” “You’re Not Alone,” “Forever,” “We Dance,” “Time Under the Sun,” “Got My Eyes On You,” and “Nothing to Lose.” Pershing Wells is featured throughout, and musicians credited on individual tracks include Todd Sorenson, Todd Adams, Randy Ellis, Kathy Ledet, Troy Percle, Cory Duplechin, Lonnie Lapeyrouse, Terri Chiasson, and Charles “Chucky C” Elam. Chasing My Dreams is available on streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Shazam, and SoundCloud.
Ledet released the album during his business career, not after it. Music was his first calling, but as a musician he chose to focus on building a company that would give his family financial security. That decision brought him into the power generation side of oil and gas infrastructure, where he grew Montco Oilfield Solutions. The company was a power generation business that supported major oil companies with their infrastructure.
